What is MLM? – Part 2
My first post in this series What is MLM? was a good overview of the industry. I also dispelled some myths and then I listed the features and benefits that attracted me to the industry.
This is one of a series of further posts expanding on each of the benefits. This benefit what was first on my list – It is a Growing Exciting Industry. Please watch my video to learn why.

In the words of Paul Zane Pilzer “Direct Selling provides an opportunity – open to absolutely anyone at all, regardless of background, specialized skills or accrued capital worth – to create a significant residual income.” He predicts there will be 10 million new millionaires by 2016 from the MLM industry. Do you plan to be one of them?

Hi Sue…isn’t it interesting how times have changed? I am fascinated to hear that joining a corporation is now considered more risky than being an entrepreneur! Wow!
What I love about the network marketing industry is that there is now such a huge variety of companies. Everything from Energy Suppliers to kitchenware or even Apps. The network marketing industry has traveled far.
I do have one wish though…..I wish more companies would embrace the marketing opportunities that the internet and social media provide, instead of continuing to only teach the traditional methods of network marketing.

Louise I too was amazed when I first heard someone (and it may have been Robert) say joining a corporation is more risky than being an entrepreneur. But I do “get it”.
I also am loving watching the expansion and new companies choosing it as a distribution method. A long way since Amway and soap 🙂
Oh and I so agree with you on the internet vs traditional methods. I think as time goes it will have to change as young people embrace it more.
Thanks Louise

Sue, Your excitement for the MLM industry shines through on your video. A newbie watching you would definitely catch your fire!
I was just thinking this morning about the great opportunity we have making connections via a worldwide market, and attracting like-minded friends to connect with. Who would have thought that our world would evolve to such tempting choices. Love it!
Sue says
Darlene I appreciate your comment on the video. I think we are always critical of ourselves 🙂
I so agree with you regarding the world wide market. It is very exciting. I often reflect on when I did the first live event with Robert Kiyosaki and some predictions. He used to teach a lot of Dr Buckminster Fuller’s work and “Bucky” had predicted there would be a new way of connecting people around the globe that would change the way we do business forever. He also said it would mean people were very transparent. Wow he was brilliant to see it.

Oliver Tausend says
Hi Sue,
that MLM is open to anybody is definitely a good thing but also its biggest flaw. Why ? Because most people think they don’t need any skills to become successful in this industry. If I can’t swim and go swimming in a pool, I will drown. This is what happens to most people.
So I’d better learn some skills. It’s a profession like any other profession. Not that it is rocket science to learn these skills, but we have to learn them.
Thanks for sharing your insights.
Take care
Oliver
Sue says
Oliver I agree with you 100%. Well said. I don’t think many people have any idea how much they need to learn to do this business.
I had done a lot of personal development when I came into it and had been a business owner in a conventional business. I underestimated the learning and the differences.
Thanks for your comment.
