There is no doubt the internet has changed our lives dramatically. Most of us can hardly remember how we got by with out it.
While the changes have been embraced by most people there was a period of time when some people feared we would all lose our ability to communicate with each other and be sitting on computers with no human interaction. This is one of the reasons video is so important and is becoming increasingly popular. It allows us to have face to face communication with each other and develop deeper relationships.
Recently we have seen new technology emerge providing us with the ability to hold webinars and conferencing using video. I personally love this technology for many reasons that I share on this video.
Video Webinars
Webinars have been growing in popularity for years now. I personally love them as they are very time and cost efficient. Webinars can be used for many things including:
- Education
- Training
- Product launches
- Customer updates
- Professional Development
- Personal Development
Video Conferencing
The platform I use allows for 100 people to be online and for 12 of those to be on camera. Some uses for this include:
- Staff meetings
- Training
- Any type of business meeting
- Association meetings
- Club meetings
- I am sure you can think of more…….
Advantages
- Significantly cuts expensive travel costs
- Cuts out venue costs
- Increases productivity as no time wasted traveling to and from a meeting
- They can be held anywhere anytime
- Very affordable service
And the benefits do not have to be only business. This platform allows you to connect with family and friends all around the world.
I have chosen WowWe as my provider of this technology. They offer video emails as well as the video conferencing and webinars. If you have not tried video email you can get a Free Video Email Account here.
I use their paid service as I want to use the conferencing service as well as the email. It is a very affordable at US$20 a month. I have also become an affiliate with WowWe which cost $50 so again a very low entry point. I love their Multi-tier Affiliate Marketing platform. If you are interested in knowing more just let me know at sue@suejprice.com
I would love to hear what you think. Do you think this could be a worthwhile service for your business?

Hi Sue…great video explaining the benefits of using a conferencing platform. I too use the iWowWe email and conferencing service and I love the fact that I can communicate effectively with people all around the world on a personal level.
I can see this type of technology creating a real shift in the way we all conduct business in the future. Not only does it eliminate the need for expensive overseas trips, but it will allow a greater number of people to work from home or near their homes, cutting down on commuting times and costs, and reducing the strain on our road and public transport systems, not to mention the benefit to the environment.

Hi Louise
You have added some benefits I never thought of with the environment and roads. The situation was top of mind this week for many in Australia with our airlines being unable to operate with the ash cloud. I notice the major webinar provider took advantage with some large advertisements. It is times like this we realize how much down time can happen with traveling to meetings.
Thanks for your comment.
Sue
Hi Sue,
You make a great argument for holding online meetings verses the hotel seminar scenario. While the later has some additional advantages, meeting online is certainly taking the Internet by storm. I see more and more people doing them and I get more invitations to attend them. Having online access sure makes it more advantageous for me to attend them instead of getting in my car or on a plane to to get there. Just the convenience factor makes it easy for me to decide to attend. I’ll be honest, There are some meetings in my local area that I just don’t go to because of the hassle of getting there, fighting traffic and the amount of time out of my day.
Don Enck recently posted..No Posts Were Found!
Don I do not think you are alone when you say you do not always go to local meetings in your area because of the hassle of getting there. In fact I would say most people are the same. Who likes being stuck in traffic? When I was working in the events industry we always saw reduced numbers if the weather turned bad for example.
When I compare doing a one hour webinar with driving somewhere to do it there is no comparison for me. I am fast getting to the stage if I cannot do it online I don’t!
I think this offers a very exciting future.
Take care
Sue
Hi Sue,
Great video! …You look smashing!
Very Informative… jam packed with examples, details and comparisons that clearly show how cost effective video conferencing can be! When you stop and think about it, it’s really beneficial in more ways than one.
I’m thinking particularly about the “time freedom” the attendees benefit from by not having to travel. Sure, once in a while the travel for business can be nice, but when it keeps those of us away, who really cherish the family life, the time we spend apart from our loved ones is priceless… we can never get it back.
An Excellent service provider like iWowWe renders an environment that is efficient and productive, because of the quality and reliability of their service. Since the users of iWowWe have experienced such amazing results, the participants are more comfortable conducting or participating in online webinars in the comfort of their own home or office, than they were even just a short time ago.
Now, that they’ve become comfortable doing webinars, you can definitely draw the comparison between the costs of travel for meetings from a strictly dollars-and-cents perspective, or appeal to the emotional value…
As a by-product… for those who take advantage of such a service, it gives participants an opportunity to spend more time with the family…which leads into building closer, stronger families .
Chris thanks for your comments and for your feedback on my video
You have added many other considerations to the benefits. I for one know the toll that business travel can take on your family. I know in 2004 I had about one third of the year in hotel rooms away from my family. That has consequences. I agree with you that once in a while business travel can be nice but too much is not good.
I share your view that people are becoming more comfortable with webinars. The other thing of course with iWowWe is that is so affordable.
This week in Australia our airlines could not fly for a couple of days over most of the country. This is on one news site now “ALL major airline flights to and from New Zealand have been canceled until at least Sunday as ash from the Chilean volcano continues to wreak havoc with airport schedules.” I am sure there are many business meeting that have been effected.
Thanks again for your comments Chris

Hi Sue…I also agree that using videos as a communication is great…One of them that I use is the skype…It allows me to call my relatives on other side of the world with matching video… We are like talking to each other personally…

Hi Sue,
nice post.I think with the advent of social media marketing has received a nice boost. But one final of piece of puzzle missing was the video conferencing and by integrating these two we can surely turn a marketing campaign into a religion.

I haven’t tried video conferencing for business. But I have used video calls through yahoo messenger and Skype, which I think are very convenient and very nice. Video conferencing and video webinar are really important to interact with the prospective clients and customers regardless of their location.

Hi Sue,
I’m surprised at the great price of the technology you’re using!
As you’ve listed above, there are just so many great uses for video conferencing. And just like with webinars, it makes such a difference being able to see the presenter. Not to mention with video conferencing like you’re using, you get to see the attendees as well.
I remember it was only last year I was speaking to a corporate executive and mentioned he would do well to offer his presentations via a webinar. His reply was “a webawhat?” It was a real eye opener for me to realize that there is such a massive market for technology products that the offline corporate world still hasn’t tapped into.
P.S. I’m a tad envious of the beautiful location you shot your video from
Michaelé Harrington recently posted..What Are The 4 Alpha Influence Leadership Styles?
Thanks for your comment Michaele. The price of iWowWe is amazing. I am so impressed with the company too. There are only a few of us in Australia using it so far. We had a meeting with the CEO this week and he has told us they are putting in a data center into Australia very soon. This will make our experience even better.
I know what you mean about someone saying a “webawhat”. I get that too
. It amazed me at first but I really do agree with you there is still a massive market out there.
My location is lovely to shoot video from but as you know it is regional. This is why wanted a platform to run webinars on. I never intended to promote it but I love it so much I have to
Have a great rest of your week.
Sue
I would like to know what people think about iWowWe vs. Skype or goto webinar. Those are the two I have been using for some time for the majority of my communications with friends, clients, etc. Thanks in advance!
trudy recently posted..Find and Download Internet TV Software
Hi Trudy
Thanks for your question. I too have used Skype and go to webinar.
Lets talk about Skype compared to iWowWe first. Obviously go to webinar and skype are very different platforms.
Skype video is free for two people then you have to pay.
This is from skype website
System requirements
• Group video calls can be between three or more people (up to a maximum of 10), and at least one person on the call needs a group video calling subscription. For the best quality, we currently recommend video calls with up to five people.
4.99 GBP per month
plus VAT (5.74 GBP) – that is US $9.19 on today’s conversion.
iWowWe is US $19.95 a month.
For that you get video email. You don’t have that with skype. You can have 50 people on a conference with up 12 on video. It has the ability to show power point and use a white board. Play videos and more.
Skype is not a webinar tool
You cant show people videos or presentations in video format on skype.
Okay now Go to webinar which is a webinar tool
– does not have video email or the ability for people to be on video.
It has power point and the other presentation features and can handle many more participants than iWowWe.
It is also much more expensive. Staring at around $100 and moving up for the bigger numbers.
Sue
Hi Sue.
Great sharing here. I also sometimes use video conference with my office’s staffs when I couldn’t attend the meeting. I usually use Skype.

I love the video conferencing and as I like to run webinars for my business I was seeking a less expensive alternative to Go to Meeting. I have tried another but think iWowWe offers the most for the money. There is nothing that compares with it to my knowledge for the dollars. I am very impressed by the professionalism of the people involved and their willingness to offer assistance.
I was also drawn to iWowWe as an additional income source.
You also have a good day.
