  3. Pass the award onto 7  other bloggers of your choice and let them know they’ve been nominated
  4. Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog So here I go…

7 things about me

  1. I love the ocean so I live in a tourist town on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland Australia (about an hour and half north of Brisbane).
  2. I am married for the second time. My first marriage was when I was very young and lasted two years. This one is into it’ s 32nd year and I still love him dearly. Hey when I met him I forfeited a vacation to Noumea to go camping with him and his three kids. So I have 3 grown step children and we have a daughter together.
  3. Professionally I worked as a CPA for much of my career, then became a Financial Planner. My husband and I together with another partner built a  substantial  financial planning business.
  4. I knew Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad Poor Dad) before he was famous. I met him just over 20 years ago. I later was the CEO of the company that promoted him in Australia and New Zealand.
  5. I love to travel. So far I have seen much of South East Asia, Western Europe, North Africa  and parts of the USA and Canada. There is still much I want to see.
  6. I love animals especially dogs but am also fond of cats. I currently have a 16 year old Beagle.
  7. When I came online just over two years ago I did not know what  a browser was and considered myself technically challenged. Therefore being nominated for a blogging award is very special to me. Thank you Sylviane and Donna!

Thanks Sue for the nomination dear and for thinking of me. I am going to pass this one with my nominations on Friday myself. We have an office in Australia and I hope I get to visit that office very soon. I read the Rich Dad book myself and it’s one of my favorites. He seems like a really nice guy!

    Hi Sue,

I’m so glad you accepted this Award and yes, you deserve it. I am totally with you, I not sure when I knew what a browser was but I do remember when I didn’t know what a URL was 🙂 Honey, we were born before computers, that why!

You had a very interesting life. You were neighbor with the parents of Nicole Kidman and you knew Robert Kiyosaki. Then you’ve been traveling all over the world! And man, lucky you to live in such a beautiful place!

    Thanks for sharing all that!

      Hi Sylviane

Thanks so much for nominating me and it was a pleasure to accept.

Yes you are spot on we were born before computers and it does make a difference. I look at my step sons 4 year old who is such a geek girl.

You know Sylviane writing this was really good as it made me realize just how much I have done so far in my life and yes I am blessed to live in a beautiful place. Because I have known Robert for so long he is just Robert to me. Sure he is famous but he is still the guy I have known for a long time. 🙂

It has been fun and I have enjoyed learning more about you and some of the others who have been nominated.

      Hi Carol

You made me laugh. I will have the glass of wine tonight then 🙂 Oh and yes it is way more fun than being a CPA. I sort of drifted into that profession and now I am not sure how I stuck it for as long as I did.

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

  4. Leo

Congratulations. I probably should leave more comments than I do but like most browsers of your wonderful blog, I enjoy just browsing your topics. Well-deserved and what a great way of passing this award around.
