Pro Blog Academy – Module 1

Pro Blog Academy – Module 1

In my last post I gave an overview of Pro Blog Academy. I had just purchased it at that time  but now I am half way through it I wanted to share some of the content with you. I will do that one module at a time.

I had this in my last post on Pro Blog Academy but if you missed it this is why I think we should be listening to Ray Higdon.

  • His Blog was voted number 1 in the top 50 MLM Blogs in 2011 by his peers for offering incredible value
  • He went from being in foreclosure to the number one earner in his company in 7 months
  • He went on to be a million dollar earner in 18 months
  • He blogs every day and says it takes him very little time
  • His blog has an   Alexa Traffic Rank: 19,241
  • Traffic Rank in US: 4,845

Pro Blog Academy

Pro Blog Academy – Module 1 by Ray Higdon

Pro Blog Academy Module One is titled – “Creating your Online Income Machine” and covers;

  • How Ray did it and you can too
  • His secrets he has never shared before
  • How to get rid of your excuses
  • The two biggest obstacles that keep people from having success online and blogging
  • Ray’s Prospect Target Matrix – such a gem!
  • Which WordPress plugins Ray uses
  • Persuasion shell for posts
  • How to produce profit from your blog

Pro Blog Academy is not about how to set up your WordPress blog. It is about what to do once you have your blog.  Ray says over and over he is not a technical guy. What he is a very successful online marketer!

In Pro Blog Academy Ray advises to start to think like the wealthy. The wealthy work out what they are worth per hour (or what you want to earn per hour) and then what you should outsource.  I love this advice as I see far too many people in home based businesses being what Robert Kiyosaki refers to in The Cashflow Quadrant ™ as an “S”. An “S”  is a self-employed person who often does everything themselves. I wrote about the book some time ago. If you want to check it out it is here.

Ray has identified the two biggest obstacles to success online and in blogging are:

Pro Blog Academy –  Obstacle #1

People often have a belief when they are starting out that they lack credibility and ask these two questions  “I don’t know what to say” or “who would want to listen to me?”

The advice here is to stop being internal because people only care if it is of value to them.  Your credibility does not matter if you solve their problems.

Now here is the best part for me so far in this course. “Identify your perfect prospect and solve their problems. Don’t write to anyone write to that exact person”.  To help us do this the course teaches to use The Prospect Target Matrix.  Ask yourself who would you ideally like to work with?

Ray gave us some questions to ask ourselves  that help us get really clear on who this person is and then we write our blog posts to that person.

Before we write a post we ask ourselves “would  my perfect prospect be interested in this?

I honed in on this and have become much clearer on who my perfect prospect is.

Pro Blog Academy – Obstacle #2

The desire to be perfect, to have our blogs looking perfect and our writing to be perfect. The advice is to “get over it and get started” and know you will get better over time.

I am not going to go through the plugin list here as it is not central to the theme of this topic.

Pro Blog Academy – Persuasion Shell  – Ray goes over his Persuasion shell for posts which is the way he structures his posts, his PS message and the way he invites his readers to take certain actions. If you have not been to his blog take a look here. Remember he gets 30,000 unique visitors a month!

Pro Blog Academy – How to Produce Profits from your blog

There is advice on how to make money from affiliate offers:, ideas on creating your own products; how to have a  PS message that makes you money.

Then we had homework 🙂

The course is by video with voice over. It also comes with a written transcript and audio.

My summary of Pro Blog Academy – Module 1

I found some real gems in here for me and if I did no more in the Pro Blog Academy course I feel I have gained value. But  I will of course be finishing all of Pro Blog Academy.

At the time of writing this the launch is over but I believe you can still check it out here at Pro Blog Academy   {this is my affiliate link).

So what do you think so far?  If you have the course please share you highlights if not I hope I have been able to do it justice here. I look forward to your comments and hope you’ll share my post.
Have an awesome day.

Great share Sue, thank you for putting this out there. I think I probably annoyed my list to death but I just didn’t want them to pass this fabulous course up.

Just like you shared here, what Ray has accomplished in under 2 years is almost unheard of. So, if you have the drive and determination to succeed then why not learn from someone who is there.

I’ve been through the whole course and just love it so I’ll look forward to what you’ll be sharing with us next. I promise not to give anything away. Hope everyone else will as well.

Thanks Sue and hope you’ve had a wonderful week. Enjoy your weekend now!

      Hi Adrienne

It is such great content. I aim to finish it off over the weekend. It is such good value and with all those bonuses!
I love his teaching style and I also love that he personally answers emails. I sent him this post as he said he would comment on them if we let him know. He emailed me and said he was on his way to Cancun and would do it when he was back.

Yes my weekend is starting very soon. Wow the weeks fly!

You have a good weekend too

      Hi Sylviane

Ray seems to be everywhere. I came across him in a syndication tribe about 18 months ago and got onto his list. He adds a lot of value and deserved to win the best MLM blog last year.

He is an excellent marketer and teacher. I used to promote some top level speakers/teachers and Ray is up there with the best. It is great content.

      Have an awesome weekend Sylviane

Thank you Sue for sharing some of the content of Ray Higdon’s Pro Blog Academy. It certainly has created quite a buzz in the industry and reading your review, I am beginning to see why 🙂 It’s great to see that even a seasoned Blogger like yourself can still find some gems to enhance the functionality of your blog.

I also see you have a new optin and am curious to see what it is, so am heading there now 🙂

      Hi Louise

Nice to see you here. Thank you.

Yes the launch did create a buzz. I had no intention of buying it until I did the webinar and then saw all the bonuses. I got 40 hours of outsourcing plus heaps more 🙂

But bonuses aside it is a great course. I figure given Ray’s results he is worth listening to. The course is really about marketing and making your blog profitable.

Yes I do have a new opt-in and I saw you there. I am very happy I joined. The training is great and it is easy to set up after the other one we were in. 🙂

Hope you are having a lovely weekend

First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Many thanks!

      Hi Aimee
I do not always write easily. If I know what I am going to write about there are times it just flows but not always. In blogging you have to write how you speak that is important so just write like you are talking to a friend. The more you do it the easier it becomes. Ray Higdon who blogs every days does it in about half an hour.
I am aspiring to do that.

      Thanks for dropping by

      Hi Barbara

Thanks for your comment. Yes I think Ray was spot on with the obstacles he named. They do stop a lot of people and I think once we recognize them we can move on.

      Thanks for dropping by

It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed information. Fantastic read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.

    Hi Sue,

Thanks so much for this excellent overview of Pro Blog Academy Module 1 by Ray Higdon. He is an incredible marketer and has helped so many people with this program. You did an excellent overview of the first module and you’ve made it very compelling to seriously look at this program. I got a lot of value from it and I like the way he approaches the “excuses” aspect of writing posts for your blog.

I agree with you that this part is of utmost importance, “Identify your perfect prospect and solve their problems. Don’t write to anyone write to that exact person”. You have to be able to visualize your avatar in specific detail…then move forward and solve their problems. Excellent summary!

I will be happy to return and continue your Pro Blog Academy series. Thanks!

      Hi Raena

I agree Ray is an incredible marketer. And yes identifying your avatar is very important. I only wish I had started doing that much earlier. I was way to broad.

I have just today completed the final live webinar with Ray and they have been terrific. I still have some of the bonuses that came with the course to get through. It was great value.

      Thanks for your comment Raena.
