Passive Income – Empower Network
As part of my series on passive income it is time to look at Empower Network. Unless you have not been online for the last 10 months you will have no doubt heard of Empower Network. You may have joined Empower Network or you may not like the concept at all but no doubt you know their presence.
What is Empower Network?
Empower Network is a direct sales model rather than a Network Marketing company. It has an affiliate program and has what they refer to as a “dynamic powerline” system. I will explain more on that later.
At the time of writing this review they have 2 subscription type products. One is $25 a month for a blogging system. The other is The Inner Circle Membership which is core ongoing training and is $100 a month.
There are currently two other products which are one time purchases. One is called the Costa Rica Intensive and is 12 hours of recording of a mastermind retreat.
The other one time purchase is called The $15K per month Formula. There are 9 recorded webinars with essential training for online success to take you to earning $15,000 a month. The cost of the product is $1,000. The teaching is done by many successful marketers and some of the webinars are up to 3 hours long.
To be an affiliate there is also a monthly cost of $19.95. This fee covers the eWallet processing costs which every affiliate must set up.
What are the goals of Empower Network?
Empower Network was founded and is owned by David Wood and David Sharpe. They have two stated goals in their official affiliate documentation. These are:
- To help you make more money in your existing business, by giving you tools, training, coaching and systems that work with your personality to help you get results, reduce costs, and live a more empowered life.
- To help provide you with a way to create leveraged affiliate income from marketing our systems, tools and trainings to help people in the Direct Sales, Network Marketing, and online marketing niche succeed more in their business. To do this, we have created a system that distribute earnings on a potential 100% commission on the total purchase price of the product being sold, for all of our core product line.
Where does the Passive Income come from in Empower Network?
There are two subscription products one $25 and the other $100 per month. To be paid for a sale in Empower Network you must own the product you sell. Let’s assume you do own these two products, then the first sale you make for each of these will cover your monthly outgoings. After that you are in profit and as long as the people you have sold to keep paying you get paid.
The other two products are one off sales. Once you have sold one of each you have recovered your initial purchase. From there you start to make a profit.
Now I did mention earlier I would come back to the “dynamic powerline” system. Empower Network have a 14 page PDF explaining it so I will do my best to explain it briefly.
Basically there are pass ups to your sponsor. So the first sale I make comes to me – 100% commission. The second, forth and sixth sales I make go to my sponsor and after that each fifth sale goes to my sponsor.
This system applies to each product in Empower Network. Okay you are passing up your commission but so will you receive pass ups from people you bring in. Over time this adds up as witnessed by some of the incomes the top earners in Empower Network are making.
So you can see even with the one off sales you may over time start to get pass ups from people you have brought into Empower Network which can really add up.
Do people have success in Empower Network?
Absolutely! There are people making significant incomes. While most of these people earning top incomes are seasoned internet marketers there are stories of some earning their first online dollars of any substance. Also there are newbies to online marketing doing well.
Empower Network – the ups and the downs
Empower Network started in October 2011. They grew very quickly and like any company with fast growth there were teething problems Their initial merchant facility pulled the plug as they could not cope with the volumes. I joined in November and there was no payment system for anyone outside of the USA.
Then their servers crashed big time and many bloggers lost their posts. More recently Facebook stopped their links from being shared and shut down several Empower Groups.
No matter what has been thrown at these guys however they find a solutions. They keep going.
In Summary
While I did join Empower Network I have had my doubts along the way. What kept me in there even when I could not market it because I am Australian was the calibre of the the people it attracted. I wrote why I joined here Why I Joined Empower Network.
The other benefit is it is a sales machine. The capture pages are highly converting and once someone is in the system there is an up-sell process with good results.
Some people are offended by the swearing that the owners often do, for me I can see past that and see they have great hearts.
There you have it – Passive Income – Empower Network. Please leave me your comments below. Are you in Empower Network? Or are you offended by Empower Network? If you found this post of value please share it with your friends. Here is my link if you want to check out Empower Network.

Goodmorning Sue,
I think you REALLY gave a great overview of Empower network. You mentioned all the things that look good and gave the downside. Empower is surely popular, Im a mlsp person myself, but I do hear many are successful with the empower set up. Great Artical, and good luck…
Sue Price says
Hi Carol
Thanks for your comment. Empower is popular you are spot on.
I too am in MLSP as of earlier this year. They too have great training and a good system. There are many of the top earners in MLSP that are also in Empower.
Hope you are having a great week.

It’s always great to get an honest review Sue of a service. I know that when this one came out, so many people jumped on it because of who were the creators. I think like most programs and services online, they have to meet what the individual wants at that time. For me, this one was not an option.
It is another great way to make money and I do know a lot of people having a lot of success as well. You are sharing some really great ways people can make money online Sue so thank you for bringing this to out attention as well. Great job!

Hi Adrienne
It has been interesting to write this series as it has made me very conscious of the pros and cons of the various programs. Empower is definitely not for everyone but I do not think it is going away in a hurry. I am really think it is probably a good option to help people get an income online faster and be able to quit their job.
Thanks for your comment Adrienne.

Hi Sue,
This is a very good and factual review for anyone who might be interested in Empower Network. I know that some people are saying that they’ve learned a lot with this system and are generating sales as well. Like anything, it’s not for every one, but in the end of the right person for it, I’m sure it’s great 🙂
Sue Price says
Hi Sylviane
Thanks for your comment. It is not for everyone but if it gels for someone they can learn a lot and make some good money. There are not too many 100% commission options around and when it is combined with EZMM it makes sense.
It has been interesting watching their incredible growth.
Hope you are having a successful week Sylviane.

Hi Sue. This is a very thorough review of Empower Network. If someone is interested in joining Empower, this would be a great place for them to come to get an overview of the company. They are a powerful company with a lot going for them. I appreciate your sharing all this information.

Sue,
Thank you so much for explaining exactly how Empower Network functions. I have seen it mentioned often and had no idea how it works. This is not for me at this time since I am quite busy writing articles, Kindle Books, and creating and offering my own products and services. But I can see that Empower Network includes soe powerful training and a system that works for those who do the work.
Warmly,
Dr. Erica

Hi Dr Erica
It is not for everyone for sure. While there are a lot of experienced Internet Marketers in there I think it is good for newbies. Most people struggle online initially to make money and I can see this can help.
Creating your own products is the ultimate way to create your passive income. Good on you.
Thanks for finding my blog and for your comment.

I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve never heard of the Empower Network, even though I’ve been online everyday for the past 10 months. Thanks for the headsup. Sounds like something worthwhile to check out.
Sue Price says
Hi Leo
You may have seen some of the Empower ads without knowing them to be empower, they usually refer to 100% commission. There unfortunately were people in there spamming a lot too which is not good.
It is worth checking them out.
Thanks for your comment Leo and have great week.

Hi Sue
Thanks for this very balanced review of the Empower Network and including the good, the bad and the ugly! We have of course spoken about it on a number of occasions and as you know, I was initially very put off by the teething problems they were encountering. But I agree with you and take my hat off to the owners for persevering and finding solutions to all the issues. My understanding is that the system runs smoothly now and as you say, some are making really good money. It’s like all systems though, you have to take consistent action and be committed to make it work.
It was also good to get a full overview of what the system has to offer and how the commission payouts work, which I have never really understood before.
Thanks again Sue
Louise

Hi Louise
Yes they have certainly weathered the storms and got through a lot in less than a year. The two Dave’s also managed to keep some great leaders in there throughout the challenges. They are doing some things right that is for sure.
I never really understood their comp plan totally until now. It is a bit more complex than what I covered here but then again I think most comp plans are.
There are a lot of people making very good money with it. I think the combination of EZ Money Method and Empower can work well as the EZMM system pretty much walks through how to approach it.
Thanks for your comment Louise and have a great week.

Hi Lorie

Thanks for your comment Lorie.

Thanks for this comprehensive and balanced review, what I particularly took note of is their viral blogging system as it is already equipped with a sleek optimized look and an advanced SEO gear that has the ability to take me straight to building my very own fan base in a short span of time but over and above all, I want to be able to maximize the benefits of the product by generating residual income now that you’ve mentioned it. Thanks again Sue and More Power!
Sue Price says
Hi Emilia
Thanks for your comment and you have described Empower very well. The longer they have been around the more I like them.
All the best and here is to building our residucal incomes.
