Now there is a bold title – how to get what you want.
I was prompted to write this post because I am reading Tony Robbins re-write of Awaken the Giant Within. He has condensed what was a 544 book down to something like 135 pages and called it Re-Awaken the Giant Within.
I first read Awaken the Giant Within and Unlimited Power sometime in the 80s. I had the books for years but it seems they have left my bookshelves. 🙂
The re-write is a freebie and only available until the end of this month. I will put the link where you can get it later in the post. I got the kindle version.
How to Get What You Want is the name of one of the chapters and in essence what the book is about.
Why am I reading this book? Because I read from books like this almost every day. I believe we must work on our mindset daily.
Tony Robbins Courses
I have never attended a Tony Robbins live event. This is amazing as I have attended so many life events in my life. Tony has visited Australia teaching for many years but somehow I never attended one of his events.
I have always admired him and have read his books and watched videos – just never been live yet.
How to Get What You Want
I believe in the law of attraction and I believe the thoughts we think are so important. The conversations we have in our head shape our reality. Tony Robbins is a master at helping people make change in their lives.
He asked that when we download his book we pay it forward so that is what I am doing. Spreading the word.
Here are some highlights from the Table of Contents.
- Creating Lasting Change
- Decisions the pathway to power
- Life’s most important lesson
- Change can happen in an instant … – love that one
- How to get what your really want ……
And a lot more. As I say it is a freebie so grab it.
Some snippets from the book that caught my attention and I believe are fundamental in helping us get what we want.
The three decisions that control your destiny are :
- Your decisions about what to focus on
- Your decisions about what things mean to you
- Your decisions about what to do to create the results you desire.
I also love his explanation of what we link pain and pleasure to and how it shapes us.
How to Get What You Want
My suggestion is read books like this. Grab this one. Do the exercises he suggests. Tony has a 10 Day mental challenge that I am going to embark on. If you do get this book and want to join me that would be excellent. This man has worked with many great people and helped them become greater. Give it a go.
How to Get the Book
Simply click here – remember it is only available until the 30th November.
Please leave me your comments below and share this post on How to Get What You Want so others can also obtain his book. Please leave me your comments. And if you get the book and want to join me on the challenge let me know.
Make it a great day.

Hi Sue,
Tony Robins is great at what he do. A friend of mine introduced him to me through his book Awaken the Giant Within You years ago. I am an avid reader, I definitely agree with you reading similar books like that on a daily basis. I remember a friend once told me that our minds are like a glass filled with a dirty or darkened liquid, by focusing on personal development it is like pouring water inside of the glass. Water my glass the clearer, but it must be consistently.
Sue thanks for sharing Tony’s new book, I went and got my company. I do intend to share it with my network.
Sue Price says
Hi Karl
I agree Tony Robbins is great at what he does. He has been doing it for so long but still shows so much passion. I am sure he gets a lot of joy out of seeing people transform their lives by his teaching.
I like the analogy of the glass that makes sense.
I am also pleased you got your copy of the book. Enjoy it!
Thanks Karl for your comment here. Have a great day.

Hi Sue,
Awesome indeed! 🙂
I surely have a lot of reading to do. I’d earlier downloaded Timo’s book from Adrienne’s post about it, and now this one. I love the fact that it’s another free one 🙂
I’ve heard and read SO much about Tony Robbins, and listened to his inspiring and motivating videos too, that reading this book would surely be a wonderful experience. I just have to make time for it…that’s all!
I liked the little lines you gave us in this post from the book, making us realize that the change always starts from US, because WE matter. Can’t wait to read this one 🙂
Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead 🙂
Sue Price says
Hi Harleena
I also just now downloaded Timo’s after reading Adrienne’s post.
I am about 60% of the way through Tony Robbins book and it is excellent. I laugh when I think how big his first version was and now I have it on my kindle 🙂 Tony to me is one of the greats in the personal development arena.
I know for you making time for reading is more difficult when you still have young children. Now that there is just be and my husband at home we both read at night. We have never been much into television.
Enjoy the book when you get to it Harleena and thanks for visiting and for your comment.

Hi Sue,
Like you I believe so much in the law of attraction that I’m living it every day and I’m actually now in what I call the middle of a quantum leap. When I saw the title of your post, I said to myself, wow, did we write the same post this week?
I will most definitely get this book which I wasn’t even aware of, so thank you so much for introducing it to us. I know that I’m doing all the right things these days and some wonderful things are in the process of happening, but a little more help can’t hurt.
Have a great day, Sue
Sue Price says
Hi Sylviane
I just saw your post in the group and I am visiting it next.
I am loving Tony’s book. I agree a little more help is always a good thing especially from such an expert who has worked with some of the most successful people in the world.
Enjoy the book and enjoy Thanksgiving.

Thanks Sue!
I’m a great fan of Tony since he first started years ago. This free offer is great! I like to brush up on things all the time. So I’ll download it right after this comment.
I not only believe in the law of attraction, but live it. If I catch myself even thinking something negative, I immediately use some techniques I’ve learned over the years go snap out of it quickly.
There is never too much to learn, and sometimes re-reading a book gives you that AHA moment!

Sue Price says
Hi Donna
I am sure you will love the book as he has done a great job of putting it very succinctly.
I am like you and pick myself up very quickly when I am slipping into a negative thought. I can change it around quickly too.
Yes you are spot on about re-reading a book and having a AHA that has often happened to me.
Thanks for your comment here and enjoy both the book and Thanksgiving.

Greetings Sue,
I’m committed to lifelong learning and personal development, so it will be interesting to compare the original book with this shortened version. Tony’s material always is great as a “refresher.”
Thank you very much,

I am a fan of Tony Robins as well. I like his style, his energetic teaching and all about his enthusiasm and everything! What an incredible experience it would be to experience his events live. I plan to attend one of his events as well. Just not able to commit to one yet 🙂 But I will, most probably next year!
Enjoy your weekend, mam!

Hi Sue Price,
I am also reading a similar book by Jack canfield on the success principles and I must confess, the teachings are inspiring.
I’ve read the book once and that should be about 10 years ago, glad you made mention of it and also a link to have it downloaded.
Does he organizes programmes and seminars in Africa, would love to have him speak here in Nigeria.
Sue Price says
Hi James
I have never read one of Jack Canfield’s books. I have seen him on video and of course on the secret so I am sure his books are great.
It is interesting to read a book again when after many years. I am enjoying it and it is like reading it for the first time.
I do not know if he teaches in Africa James. I guess if you go to his website there will be details. He does come to Australia.
Thanks for your comment here James.

Adrienne says
Hi Sue,
I got this book several years ago for Christmas, the 544 page one, but haven’t finished reading it. Since it’s been awhile I can’t remember why I didn’t finish it but something came up obviously and I never got back to it. I really think the shorter version is more appealing to me right now.
I’ve already downloaded it so thank you so much for sharing this and so glad I stopped by today. I’m really dragging not having slept good last night. My allergies are really giving me a hard time so I’m so tired today and can’t seem to concentrate on too much. I think it’s time for a walk, that ought to help.
Thank you again Sue and have a wonderful weekend.
~Adrienne
Sue Price says
Hi Adrienne
Yes 135 pages is much easier to get through that 544 🙂 I am almost through this shorter one and loving it. I do what you said you did with his original book so many times. I get part or a long way through a book and then go on to something else. I usually have several books on the go at once.
Oh sorry to hear about your allergies. That is not nice on your holiday weekend. I hope you had some nice times in there.
I have had very much a working weekend this time but managed to do a few nice things.
Take care and hope you feel better very soon.
Thanks for visiting me Adrienne.

Hi Sue,
How kind and what a lovely gift for your audience! 🙂
I’ve heard a lot about Tony Robbins via my blogging friends (As they share his stuff on social networks) and watch few videos of him too. Watching his videos, I found him very inspirational indeed and he knows how to get people motivated. Isn’t he? 😉
Anyway, I haven’t had a chance to read his books so far and this will be the first one for sure 🙂 I really appreciate your lovely introduction spread through the post, ’cause it’s convincing me to read it very soon.
Thanks for sharing this valuable gift with us all and I’m looking forward to read as soon as I done with pending books Sue 🙂 I’m glad I landed here on 30th, before I miss it. Must spread the word too.
Hope you will be able to attend a live event of his soon 😉
You have a wonderful weekend there dear!
Cheers…
Sue Price says
Hi Mayura
I am sure you will love the book. It is easy to read and packed with valuable information.
I too have watched many of his videos. I find him very inspirational and he truly knows how to help people become the best version of themselves.
Yes he does know how to get people motivated. In the beginning I used to think his teaching was too much hype but I have changed my mind over time. I think I now understand better where he comes from.
I am sure I will get to a live event of his in the future.
You too have a lovely weekend – well what is left of it.
Thanks for stopping by Mayura and hope you like the book.

Hi Sue,
I usually avoid this kind of books. I read them only when they come from great names like Tony Robbins or Jack Canfield.
Unfortunately, many people who read this kind of books do not understand what they read. However, they create sites or blogs in the personal development field and start to teach other people how to get what they want.
A fey days ago I read an article that made me laugh. The author said that you can have what you want, everything you want in life, without work, without effort, without investing time or money, without learning, without study, without knowledge etc.
The only thing you need is to focus on what you want and imagine the way you will feel when you have what you want.
If you do this for a period of time, you will get what you want by the magical power of the laws of the Universe. 🙂 🙂
So, you see I am cautious when it comes to personal development. However, Tony Robbins is a big name and I agree with you: his books are important and must be read.
Have a wonderful day
Sue Price says
Hi Silviu
Nice to see you here.
I agree you need to be careful who is writing this information. I read Tony Robbins original books when I first met Robert Kiyosaki as Robert recommended them. After that for many years I thought Tony was about hype and never paid much attention. It is only if more recent years I have come to understand what his work is about. I now have the utmost respect for him.
OMG that person you are referring to who says you can have everything you want without work etc is a lunatic! It is people like that that give the mindset, law of attraction message a bad name. Robert Kiyosaki works tirelessly on his own mindset but he always says you must couple it with action.
People like the person you mentioned make me mad.
Thanks for your comment Silviu. I hope all is good in your life.

I read just about everything Anthony released but Awaken the Giant is my favorite. I first read this book in the early 90’s and since then Tony Robbins has released more books and more audio systems but the principles are still the same. This book was my introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming which proves effective if you practice it (I emphasize if). Tony speaks a lot about his own experiences also and some of the struggles he faced growing up which allows the reader to make comparisons to their current situation. The only thing I should stress about this book is that it will not provide you a system in finding what you should be doing or should be in life. Tony has many tools in the book to assist you in taking action towards your goals but I’ve found that the search for what you should be doing is really up to you. The only reason why I say this is that I have read reviews in the past where people walk away disappointed because they have a lot of fuel and no car to put it in. Such as life, it’s up to us to get the car. I do recommend this book though. It was very beneficial.
Sue Price says
Hi Betty
You certainly are familiar with Tony’s work. I first was introduced to NLP through him also. I agree that original book was excellent.
I hear what you say about people being disappointed but as you say they need to get the car 🙂 Well put.
I also know many people who have transformed their lives through his work but that is the way it is we learn when we are ready.
Thanks for your comment Betty.
