The topic of expectations has been following me this week.
In my last post I wrote about 5 Tips for Success in Your Business
The last tip was about expectations and expecting to win and to expect greatness.
This message has been significant for me this week and I have had several “ah ha” moments.
Expectations and Desires
I get the daily email quote from Abraham Hicks Publications. On Monday this is what it said.
“The emotion you feel is always about the vibrational variance between where you want to be and where you are. If you’re out of balance, there are only two ways to bring yourself into alignment: Either raise your expectation to match your desire—or lower your desire to match your expectation.”
—Abraham
It resonated with me so much I shared it on Facebook. I usually share messages that are as much for me as for my friends.
Monday afternoon I was talking to a friend of mine who is a spiritual healer and sort of psychic even though she says she is not. I was telling her that some aspects of my business are not moving as quickly as I would like. She straight away said “it is your expectations”. Hmm there it was again.
Expectations and the weekly phone call
So Tuesday morning my time in Australia I dialed into the weekly call that my business hosts every week. There are always different guests from our company being featured.
This week it was the 22 year old Austrian (not Australian) who is called by his initials AK.
He has been in our business just over 90 days – and get this – in his first 90 days he made $94,000. (Income Disclosure Statement below as this is not typical – but then neither is he!).
When I head the number my “little voice” immediately started telling me things like “oh he came from another company and brought a downline with him”. But no far from it, here are his circumstances.
The Facts – and these would stop many people
- 22 years old
- English is his second language
- Lives in a small village of around 1000 people in Austria
- Had no previous success in a business
- Had no money and in fact borrowed from family to get into the business
- So no marketing budget whatsoever
- Was waiting tables
- No warm market
- A small list only
What he did have that resulted in his success
As I listened to this guy talk it quickly became obvious why he had achieved this success.
He expected to do it and he got to work and took massive action.
Here is what he had
- A clear vision and a clear goal and he expected to win.
- He vowed to himself this was going to work. He was going to make it. No chance of failure.
- He believed in himself.
- He said he didn’t want to hear “years “ to make it work – wanted it to work in 90 Days
- Focused on income producing activities only each day.
- He Had a Daily Action Plan
He set a goal which was to make $100K in his first 90 days – he fell short of that and made $94K !
His mantra was “I am going to do this with or without you.” That is what he told everyone he spoke to.
Expectations: Do You Expect to Win?
I tell you this story not to try to convince you to join my business. Although if you do that would be awesome too 🙂
I am telling this story because I had a paradigm shift listing to AK.
I got at a cellular level the message I read on Monday from Abraham. Expectations matching desires.! This young man absolutely expected to win and he achieved amazing results.
He set his goals and went to work taking massive action. This is the power of Law of Attraction and taking action. It does not happen just by expectations alone.
He did share with us his Daily Method of Operation which is simple and anyone could do.
I now have a new belief of what is possible for anyone joining this business.
My expectations for myself have expanded to what is possible and in what time frame.
Over to You
If you are getting the results you desire well done. If you are not maybe check out what you are expecting.
Please leave me your comments below I look forward to your thoughts on this.
Make it a great day.

Hey Sue,
This is really pretty cool because I had a similar shift recently myself and thanks to Abraham for making it.
I’ve always practiced the law of attraction without even knowing it and things have come to me when I expected them to. I know you can resonate with me along these lines but some of the things I’ve desired haven’t happened yet and it’s been a very very very long time now. So I was listening to a video Esther was doing as Abraham and for some unknown reason she just explained it in a way that I just got.
Everyone tells me I need to visualize it and feel like I have it. 1) I can’t visualize something I have no idea what it looks like and 2) I can get the feeling but because I can’t see it it doesn’t last. So she mentioned the vibrational level and explained what it meant. She said and I quote her, “If you appreciate it, you are there. If you expect it, you are there.” So it’s what she shared about expectations.
Like AK did, he expected it to happen and he wasn’t going to accept anything else. He went for it with the “knowing” that it would and it did. Up until now I knew what my desires were but I didn’t feel it in my gut. Within just the past two weeks I have actually felt it and I know with all of my being it will happen. I had a shift myself so this is still our year young lady and I’m glad we both had some aha moments even though they were separately they were the same.
I’m thrilled for you Sue and thanks for sharing this. I love hearing these types of success stories too because it is possible if we “believe” it to be. Yay!!!
Sorry we missed each other the other night but we’ll catch up soon.

Hi Adrienne
So we are both being helped by Abraham 🙂 Thanks for sharing your story. I totally relate to what you have said. It does absolutely happen we expect and it is easier to do with some things than others. For me I realized listening to AK that I had a belief that having success was going to take more time. I got it when he shared his expectations. It also made me reflect on a time when Ivan and I moved across Australia to start another business. I absolutely knew it was going to be successful. I had a private goal I did not share even but it was exceeded. I have been trying to get that sort of belief back but realized that in “trying” I was not allowing.
I am so happy for you Adrienne that you now know with all your being it will happen for you. That is awesome and yes amazing we have both has similar aha’s.
I was really sorry we did not catch up this week but we will very soon.
Have a nice weekend. Boy it is already late Saturday afternoon here.
Thanks for your awesome share here Adrienne.

Hi Sue,
Great, great story and example of how things work, when it comes to success. I am here to confirm that if success is not in the mind first, it’s simply not going to happen.
All day long people are told garbage comments such “be realistic,” “don’t aim too high,” and other stuff like that. But I’m one who believes that if you aim for the stars you might at least reach the moon, if you aim for nothing you’ll get nowhere.
He aimed for 100,000 he got 94,000 great deal! I’ll take that any day, right?
We do get what we expect, indeed.
Great post Sue 🙂
Sue Price says
Hi Sylviane,
I knew you would agree 🙂 I wish I could share the interview but it is in Empower Back office. It was amazing to listen to him. You know what you have said is so true. Even in the positive company you still hear people say do not expect results right away. AK just said BS to that and went for it. Yes I will take his result too.
It is also interesting how he has raised the bar on what is possible.
It was such a clarifying moment for me.
Thanks for your comment here Sylviane.
Have a good week.

Absolute LOVE Abe’s stuff Sue 😉 I’m big on aligning, working from a relaxed space, seeing good in all and detaching. We can achieve much by feeling good virtually all of the time. Thanks!

Hi Ryan
I love it too as you may have guessed Ryan. Oh you are an amazing example of someone living the location free lifestyle and travel and all that so many people want. You are a great example of this Ryan.

Sue, I’ve been thinking a lot about expectations lately but mostly in personal life. I can start out with them being high then get disappointed and totally off track. How do you stay with high or positive expectations when life throws you curve balls? Somedays I think it’s better not to expect so you don’t get hurt or disappointed.
Sue Price says
Hi Lisa
That is such a good question. It is something I too have done. Had failures or hurts and therefore settled for less than we really want or deserve. Most people do it and learn to play small.
Have a read of Adrienne’s comment on here if you go back to my blog. She has a good suggestion.
I think we need to read inspirational things daily, there are countless inspirational videos on YouTube. We need to do what it takes to protect our dreams.
You have just had a big loss in your life too and that takes time. Be gentle with yourself but do not stop expecting the best.
Thanks for your comment here Lisa.
Take care
Sue
Lisa says
Sue, yes, visualization, I’ve done that in the past and am amazed when it works out. I guess I need to do more of that – thank you for taking me back to read Adrienne’s comment and a reminder to be gentle to myself for a while.
Sue Price says
Yes Lisa especially be gentle on yourself 🙂

Hi Sue,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience! I just love it when things “click” and automatically we make that shift.
This happened to me a while back, and I did make a shift in my business. It all came down to raising my expectations. I knew I had to do something different, but didn’t know what it was, then..AHA…it hit me.
Now it’s time to raise it once again! I’ve been working on it and know I’m close to that answer. Funny, but I just started meditating about this yesterday. Hmmm….

Sue Price says
Hi Donna
It is wonderful when things like this happen. I think if we keep our hearts open the messages come to us and often from places we do not expect.
Meditating for our answers is such a good thing to do. I bet you get lots of inspiration from your walks on the beach too. Do you? I know I do.
Thanks for your comment Donna.

Hi Sue,
I completely agree because I am a big believer in the law of attraction and it is amazing when we hear stories of this kind where someone makes a decision and then just the universe aligns itself to make it happen for them.
Your post is a great reminder to me to take sometime to reflect upon my expectations and expand them to take me where I want to me. I think we all need to do that from time to time and put the action behind the expectations to make it happen.
Thank you for sharing!
Regards,
Kumar
Sue Price says
Hi Kumar
This was a great story and you could just hear in this guys voice his total expectation.
I agree we all should take time out and reflect on our expectations to expand. It is far too easy to fall into “doing” mode and not planning and being first.
Oh yes putting action behind our expectations is necessary. It is the part of Law of Attraction some people miss 🙂
Thanks for your comment Kumar.
Have a successful week.

Sue one of the things that really stood out was the age. I think as we get older we are afraid to take risks and through of life’s experience tell ourselves it can’t be done. At 22 he knows no difference which is a good thing. Believing is the first step and having an open mind. What a great story and has me thinking. Thank you for sharing.
Sue Price says
Hi Arleen,
I agree with you. When I was 22 I thought life lasted forever and that I was immortal. I cringe a little now when I think of some of the risks I took mainly in traveling. I think though it really pointed out to me how much more cautious I have become. So for me it was great and I am glad you too enjoyed the story.
Have a good rest of your week.

That’s an awesome story Sue!
Sue as I read this story, even without the incredible income produced in just 90 days give or take. Like you I was simply awe struck by the expectation level of someone coming from such humble beginnings!
That young man is truly on a mission! And I absolutely love the quote you shared! There’s simply no way around, acknowledging, why you have to guard your mindset like a hawk!
Because if you don’t you’ll never see what’s truly possible and more importantly, be able to fulfill your vision, just like this young man did!
Thank you so much for sharing such an uplifting story! Isn’t it nothing short of amazing, what’s possible, when you make up your mind that your expectations are attainable!
Sue Price says
Hi Mark
Yes it is an awesome story. He will go along way in life I am sure.
Oh yes we have to guard our mindset for sure. I have enjoyed watching some of the people I have met just on the internet go from strength to strength and they all all into self improvement.
It is my pleasure to have shared this story Mark.
Thanks for your comment and you have a great day.

Hi Sue,
I stumbled upon your blog today and i’m glad I did that !
Great and inspiring post this is, and definitely worth reading by everyone. When one expect to win, then one should express great content in whatever he do and in fact he should be confident enough to tackle the situations. Believing in self and daily action plans are one definite requirement to achieve success (by reaching the targets) just like you mentioned.
I’d be happy to meet that 22 year guy. May be – a little inspiration by looking at the success of such people !
Thank you for the share. Great day 🙂

I never cease to be amazed at what amazing instruments our brains are. If we set a goal and go for it we have the ability to achieve impossible things. Whenever I doubt that, I think of my daughter. She was quite young and was playing outside with a little friend who had a butterfly net. The two girls spotted a squirrel and immediately thought, “Lets catch him!”
Not for a moment did I think it was possible and I’m pretty sure the squirrel was confident of his ability to get away…until the net came down. Against all logic, the giggly six year olds caught the squirrel. I’ll leave what followed to a post where we talk about making sure your goals make sense. 🙂
Sue Price says
Hi Debra
Thanks for finding my blog and for leaving an awesome comment.
What an amazing thing your daughter and her friend accomplished and I like you would not have expected them to succeed. But now you have me super curious as to what happened. Maybe my next post needs to be on making sure goals make sense. Or maybe you can write one? 🙂
Have a great rest of your week.

Di says
Again!
great Post Sue!
yes I saw that story of AK and love the way you have explained it for everyone to gather distinctions of how this young man grabbed this opportunity and set up a system, along with his high expectation and went for it!
I think as we get a little older we worry about what others think or think too much about the process and become bogged down with the information. Like you have written AK was, and is, as free as a bird in his thinking and got what he expected!
Sue Price says
Hi Di
It sure is a great story.
Yes we do lose some of the just dive in attitude we often have when we are young as we get older. At times that is not a bad thing but I think it is a little sad when people lose that “I can do anything” part of them.
It was just one of those weeks last week that the expectations message was coming through for me very loud.
Thanks for your comment Di.

Sue, I know I don’t get around as often as I should, but I am making efforts to visit those in the Bloggers Helping Bloggers group again. 🙂
I’ve learned so much from everyone in this group and love the group dynamic. It’s nice to be a part of something wonderful.
I have had lowered expectations for myself in the past. Now, I am using daily affirmations to raise myself up, both emotionally and career-wise. I love the quote from Abraham and agree with it wholeheartedly.
Success is something I expect. I have done visualization exercises in the past, and they work! It is truly awesome to know that higher powers, karma, or whatever it is, can help you along in life.
Excellent comments from everyone. I read them all, and it reinforces in my mind that what I am doing is good, right, and what I should be doing .
Thanks for listening.

Hi Lorraine
I have also have not been finding my way to as many blogs lately for a variety of reason.
There are some great bloggers out there and I too have learned from many of them.
Daily affirmations and visualization are both very powerful and even better when we use them both.
I too have loved the comments here.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and you have a great day.

I remember reading a book that says something like, “If you want something so bad, the universe will conspire to make it happen”. I think things do fall together when you desire something badly, that you would be willing to do anything to the point that the universe want to help you as well. This is a very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing this!
Sue Price says
Hi Dylann
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment.
I can also member’s the quote you have referred to but I am not sure who said it. It is true and that is all that matters.
You have a successful week ahead.

Sue,
It’s interesting to note how things fall in place once we believe they would. I previously used to think great achievements took better brains, connections etc. No! The greater the achievement, be certain that the desire to succeed is even greater! Once we come to this realization, believe me, everything becomes a breeze!
Your entry inspired me. Do have a very great day.
Always,
Terungwa
Sue Price says
Hi Terungwa
The desire to succeed I believe is more important than brains. I know some highly intelligent educated people who have not had the success some people who dropped out of school have had. It is very interesting and hearing this young man I wrote about was very inspiring.
